Twenty one pilots – Shy Away

When I get home
You better not be there
We’re placin’ bets you won’t
Shed your modesty
And the only thing to leave behind
Is your own skin on the floor

[Chorus:]
Don’t you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Manifest a ceiling
When you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Searchin’ for that feelin’
Just like an “I love you” (Ooh, ooh)
That isn’t words (Ooh, ooh)
Like a song he wrote, that’s never heard (Ah-ah-ah)
Don’t you (Ssh)

When you get home
You barely recognize the pictures
They put in a frame

‘Cause you shed your modеsty
Don’t circle the track
Take what you havе
and leave your skin on the floor

[Chorus:]
Don’t you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Manifest a ceiling
When you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Searchin’ for that feelin’
Just like an “I love you” (Ooh, ooh)
That isn’t words (Ooh, ooh)
Like a song he wrote (Ah-ah-ah)
That’s never heard

When I get home
Boy, you better not be there
You’re long gone

You shed your modesty
Don’t circle the track
Just break the cycle in half
and leave your skin on the floor

[Chorus:]
Don’t you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Manifest a ceiling
When you shy away (Ah-ah-ah)
Searchin’ for that feelin’
Just like an “I love you” (Ooh, ooh)
That isn’t words (Ooh, ooh)
Like a song he wrote (Ah-ah-ah)
That’s never heard
That’s never heard (Ah-ah-ah, ah-ah-ah)

An “I love you”
That isn’t words
Like a song he wrote
That’s never heard
Don’t you shy away

East & Young – Wasting Time

feat. Wilder

Remember the summers we had?
All of the times we laughed?
Till we cried and danced,
and drank too much
The stars aligned
Cause we kissed and touched
Can we get it back?
To the way we had?

I’m hoping & waiting for you,
I’m steady, just patient for you
You wanna go, you wanna stay tonight
I need to know, so just make up your mind
Quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
I need to know, so just make up your mind
Quit wasting time

Like all of the dreams that we had,
All of the times that I wish we’d go back
Till we cried and danced
and drank too much
The stars aligned
Cause we kissed and touched
Can we get it back?
To the way we had?

I’m hoping & waiting for you,
I’m steady, just patient for you
You wanna go, you wanna stay tonight
I need to know, so just make up your mind
Quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
I need to know, so just make up your mind
Quit wasting time

You’re on my mind
Almost every night
I stay daydreaming about you
Oh, no no
You’re on my mind
Oh, yeah
Almost every night
I stay daydreaming about you
So, quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
Quit wasting time
I need to know, so just make up your mind
Quit wasting time

We cuddle, sure it don’t matter
But I need your lips all night

Charles Trenet – La Romance De Paris Lyrics

La romance de Paris
Charles Trenet

Paroles: Charles Trenet
Musique: Léo Chauliac
(1942)

{au Refrain}

C’est ici que s’arrête mon histoire,
Aurez-vous de la peine à me croire?
Si j’vous dis qu’il s’aimèrent chaque jour,
Qu’ils vieillirent avec leur tendre amour;
Qu’ils fondèrent une famille admirable,
Et qu’ils eurent des enfants adorables,
Qu’ils moururent gentiment, inconnus, oui
En partant comme ils étaient venus

{au Refrain}

Stoner Kings – Stonehenge Lyrics

Out on the beaches that hem them seven seas
There comes old Lady Luck wisping by the trees
Tells me a story that is heavy to my ears
Said wasted time is up boy, time to face them fears

Looking back on this life it didn’t mean a thing
Cos all I ever had were the wages of my sins
Never thought I’d see the day that it all went up
Good God in heaven am I really out of luck

NO NO NO, WHERE THERE IS SMOKE
THERE’S A FIRE
YEAH YEAH YEAH, AND THOSE FLAMES
ARE RISING HIGHER

Won’t get no second chance, can’t ride for free

And once you’re done you know you’re history
Down on the other side what will you say

When thoughts of heaven go up burning in that flame
Thoughts of heaven go burning up in your flame
And thoughts of heaven are driving you insane

NO NO NO, WHERE THERE IS SMOKE
THERE’S A FIRE
YEAH YEAH YEAH, AND THOSE FLAMES
ARE RISING HIGHER

In the blinking of an eye
Crawling up to kiss the sky

NO NO NO, WHERE THERE IS SMOKE
THERE’S A FIRE
YEAH YEAH YEAH, AND THOSE FLAMES
ARE RISING HIGHER

Wesrok Aims To Become First Mainstream Country Reggae Artist

Wesrok the first mainstream Country Reggae star?

The voice of the Jamaican people, reggae music, which derived from its predecessors Ska and Mento, has undoubtedly gone on to have a major impact on the international scene. Singer Wesrok has visions of taking the music to another level, as he works to establish a sparse version called “Country Reggae.” During a recent Gleaner interview, Wesrok said, “Country reggae is not a subgenre but a new brand, not quite country, not quite reggae. A brand new flavour for the masses.”

Jamaicans have long had a certain fascination for cowboys and Westerns, a love that transcended into the island’s music. Island-based entertainers have provided their versions of country and western tracks in the past, much to the delight of their fans. The late Toots Hibbert soared with his rendition of “Take Me Home Country Roads” by John Denver. Freddie McGregor’s rendition “King of the Road” by Roger Miller (1964) also became famous, and the Reggae artiste admitted that he was a fan of Miller’s music. How about Busy Signal’s renditions of Kenny Rogers’ “The Gambler?”

“Country is one of the biggest art forms. Other artistes have experimented with country reggae and failed because they’ve not sustained the efforts. We at 360 Global want to re-energise those efforts,” the recording artiste said.

The artiste, who has released a number of country reggae songs, is from the rural district of Swamp Lane in Bog Walk, St Catherine. He says he is fully equipped to be the face of this movement and feels that there is a niche market out there for country reggae in Jamaica and overseas, such as in Europe and the rural states of the USA.

Country reggae songs recorded by the artist include “Left Out in the Dark,” “Poor Country Boy,” and his most recent, “Born As a Winner.”

While Wesrok, whose real name is Percival Buddan, aims to globalize this brand, “country reggae” may not be very new after all. He added,

“The proof of Jamaica’s love for country music is all over reggae history. In the US, country music carries a certain racial history and baggage but I love it because country tells stories, tales about breaking up, and getting back together, and overcoming hardship. We love stories as well because this narrative tradition runs deep in folk music across the Caribbean.”

Wesrok will be launching his seven-track album, “Look At Me Now,” on April 23.

Olivia Rodrigo – All I Want Lyrics

[Verse 1]
I found a guy, told me I was a star
He held the door held my hand in the dark
And he’s perfect on paper but he’s lying to my face
Does he think that I’m the kinda girl who needs to be saved

[Verse 2]
And there’s one more boy he’s from my past
We fell in love but it didn’t last
‘Cause the second I figure it out he pushes me away
And I won’t fight for love if you won’t meet me halfway
And I say that I’m through but this song’s still for you

[Chorus 1]
All I want is love that lasts
Is all I want too much to ask
Is it something wrong with me
All I want is a good guy
Are my expectations far too high

Try my best but what can I say
All i have is myself at the end of the day
Shouldn’t that be enough for me

[Verse 3]
Oooooo
And I miss the days
When I was young and naive
I thought the perfect guy would come and find me
Now happy ever after it don’t come so easily

[Chorus 2]
All I want is love that lasts
Is all I want too much to ask
Is it something wrong with me, oh
All I want is a good guy
Are my expectations far too high
Try my best but what can I say
All I have is myself at the end of the day
And all I want is for that to be okay

Tijuana La Veinte – Dime Lyrics

Que te puedo decir
No te conozco aun
Pero lo estoy intentando
Ya lo veras

Dime que prefieres
Que tan lejos esta
Dime si me quieres
Que tan cerca estoy

Caminando sobre la arena
Nos cubre la obscuridad

Y de fondo una
Hermosa luna llena
Para poderte observar

Lo único que quiero
Hoy y siempre
Es estar junto a ti
Para que al final del día
Pueda morir feliz
